Bio
Research Description
My long-term scientific interests have always centered around biomedical research–especially with regards to neurological disorders. It has fascinated me that seemingly negligible perturbations can lead to drastic changes in an individual’s physical body, personality, or both. Similarly, it has interested me how certain molecules can be employed to relieve or even rescue these detrimental effects. Being able to uncover a gene, protein, or pathway contributing to a disorder state then designing a therapeutic to reverse it has always filled my imagination. My current research efforts are focused on understanding how certain compounds can promote neurological remediation.
